BRINGING COMMONSENSE TO BRUSSELS

Date:  22/10/2003

UNHAPPY WITH TORY MEDIA COVERAGE?

I have been made aware by many of you that you are frequently unhappy with the way the party is reported in the media. Complaints include concerns over programmes or reports that have left wing bias or are obviously anti Conservative. There is also disquiet over Labour and the Lib/Dems being talked up or treated too mildly.

You can do something about this. If you feel you have a genuine complaint about coverage you can contact the broadcasters direct on the following numbers:

BBC complaint line: 08700 100222

BBC One O'clock news: 0208 576 7771

Six O'Clock news: 0208 576  7776.

Ten O'Clock news: 0208 576 7779

Radio Four Today Programme:  0208 624 9644

Radio Four The World at One: 020 8 624 9730

Newsnight: 020 7 973 6098

Radio Five Live: 0500 909 693

ITN: 0207 833 3000

Channel Four: 0207 396 4444

Channel Five: 08457 705 0505

Sky News: 0207 705 5500

Other alternatives:

1. Call the phone in programmes on BBC local radio and make your feelings known about any subject.

2. Email the BBC's national political programme the Daily Politics show and local TV Sunday afternoon political shows.
